The Lighthouse
I built this lighthouse using a Real
Good Toys kit. However, I've never seen a lighthouse with clapboard siding,
so I used spackle to give it a cement look. The base is made from two pieces
of thick styrofoam glued together and then sculpted. I then covered it with
spackle and painted it to look like rock.
Note the stairs carved from the rock!
I decided to make my lighthouse an
artist's weekend retreat (something I wish I had!)
The first floor is living room and kitchen,
the middle is a bedroom
and the top floor is the studio.
